While we are a self-pay practice, we are happy to offer you options and coaching to navigate the document submission process with your insurance company, allowing you to receive reimbursement directly from them, which many plans offer.

We have helped hundreds of clients through this process, and they report that it is generally very satisfying for them.

You can do this independently or use our partner, Mentaya, who will effortlessly submit your claims for you.

-Mentaya will keep you up to date whenever a submission occurs, so you stay informed.

-This option affords our clients complete and total confidentiality.

-If you do not want to seek insurance reimbursement, we do not need to provide a diagnosis to justify treatment, so you will not have a mental health diagnosis on your permanent mental health record.

-This option is also for those without insurance and who are simply paying out of pocket.

-For those using this option for confidentiality purposes, it is recommended that you do not use an HSA card to pay for your sessions.

Off The Record

-A superbill is the document that your insurance company needs to reimburse out-of-network services. We can email these to you after each session, monthly, or any other frequency you prefer for you to submit to them.

-You will submit your own superbills according to your insurance company's instructions. We recommend calling your insurance to learn what those steps are. Typically, you upload the superbill to a website or email it to them.

-We recommend that you confirm your coverage and reimbursement rate before initiating care to be sure it works for you. You can call your insurance company to ask, use our widget below, or ask us to look into it for you.

Why Are You Out Of Network?

We choose not to be affiliated with any insurance companies as in-network providers to streamline the therapeutic intentions with our clients. This way, we can provide the utmost confidentiality, and we have no obligations to anyone but our client regarding treatment practices. If you choose not to use insurance, you will have no mental health diagnoses on your permanent health record if that is your preference. In this model, we, as therapists, remain unencumbered by policies and procedures required of insurance companies that we believe distract from excellent client care. The balance of allowing you to use your insurance benefits without institutional clinical oversight maintains our focus on therapeutic strategies, client goals, and our professional growth as therapists, while also enabling you to enjoy the benefits of your insurance plan.
